Run the editor locally – it doesn't require a live VPN connection to build XML profiles.

By default, the standalone AnyConnect Profile Editor is installed to C:\Program Files\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Profile Editor .

To ensure security and compatibility, you should download the AnyConnect Profile Editor from official Cisco sources.

The Profile Editor can generate profiles for various modules within the Cisco Secure Client ecosystem:

💡 Starting with version 5, Cisco has rebranded "Cisco AnyConnect" as "Cisco Secure Client". However, the profile editor functionality remains largely identical.

Download the full AnyConnect pre-deployment package from Cisco (requires active SmartNet). Extract the Profile Editor from there. Do not trust third-party "standalone" downloads.
