The plot fast-forwards to the present day, introducing Bittu (Abhay Verma), a young man living in Pune with his mother Pammi (Mona Singh) and grandmother. Bittu is in love with his neighbor, Bela (Sharvari), but is too shy to confess his feelings. During a family trip to his ancestral village in Konkan, Bittu unwittingly awakens the spirit of Munjya. The spirit, now attached to Bittu, is visible only to him and begins to wreak havoc, coercing Bittu into finding Munni. The situation becomes more perilous when Munjya sets his sights on Bela, mistaking her for his long-lost bride. What follows is a frantic and hilarious race against time as Bittu, with the help of a quirky godman (played by Sathyaraj), attempts to save his loved ones from the clutches of this obsessive, supernatural groom.
