While the original game received an official English release, Utage was exclusive to Japan. Key Features of Utage: Adds 14 new playable characters. New Modes: Includes the multi-layered "Unification Mode".
Copy the patched ISO to your USB drive (formatted as FAT32 or NTFS) inside a /wbfs/ folder. Standard naming: Sengoku Basara 3 Utage [SD9J01].wbfs . sengoku basara 3 utage wii english patch
Released in Japan in late 2011, Utage is not a sequel but a classic “Capcom expansion” in the vein of Super Street Fighter IV or Monster Hunter G . It builds directly on the engine and story of Sengoku Basara 3 .
The patch transforms an inaccessible, Japanese-only expansion into a fully playable, highly enjoyable continuation of the Sengoku Basara 3 experience. It’s chaotic, loud, historically inaccurate, and utterly glorious—just as a samurai banquet should be. Last updated: May 2025
Dolphin allows you to apply translations dynamically using its built-in modding features, or you can use a pre-packaged ISO patcher.
As of 2024, the short answer is:
Create a separate asset folder (usually named SB3_Utage_Patch ) on the root of the SD card and place the translated game assets inside it. Insert the SD card into your homebrew-enabled Wii console. Launch the channel from the Homebrew Channel.
